2 New Physicians Join Medpace’s Medical Leadership Team

Two New Physicians

About Mark Berger, MD

Mark Berger is Board Certified in Radiology and brings more than 25 years of experience in advanced imaging techniques.  He was in private practice at an MRI center where he functioned as both the Medical Director and Administrator responsible for reads, imaging protocols, quality control and supervision of Technologists.  He has experience in Nuclear Imaging including the therapeutic administration of radiopharmaceuticals such as I-131, Ra-223 and Lu-177 for cancer treatments.  Dr. Berger did research in Cancer Imaging which included utilizing multiple methodologies in the analysis of images to determine the response of tumor burdens in clinical trials.

Dr. Berger received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from New York University and his Medical Degree from New York Medical College. Following his Internship at Stamford Hospital he did his post graduate training in Radiology at Memorial Hospital.  Subsequent to his Radiology Residency, after working in private practice, he completed a Fellowship in Nuclear Radiology and a Post-doc in Cancer Imaging Research.

About Zaiba Malik, MD

Zaiba Malik is board certified in ophthalmology and brings over 14 years of experience in both academics and private practice to Medpace’s medical leadership team. Practicing comprehensive ophthalmology she is involved in the medical and surgical management of eye diseases including cataract surgery, oculoplastic procedures, and management of diabetes and glaucoma with medications, lasers, and intravitreal injections. She has served as Assistant Professor of Surgery for the past 10 years working with medical students and residents on research projects. She sits on numerous committees and advisory boards.  In addition, Dr. Malik has extensive international health experience and has been invited to speak both nationally and internationally on this topic.

Dr. Malik graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rollins College with a degree in Biology and subsequently earned her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. She completed an Ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
