The Medical Department consists of our Medical Directors and Safety Physicians who are responsible for providing medical, scientific and strategic leadership for successful planning, execution and reporting of clinical trials. They serve as the internal medical expert and as a medical resource for all aspects of the study process.

Key Positions
Safety Physicians
The Clinical Safety Physicians play a key role in the pharmacovigilance process at Medpace. They also provide oversight and key input for review of new or on-going safety documents, such as DSUR; Provide safety review of clinical study documents, including protocols, study reports, and marketing application components; The Safety Physicians collaborate with other departments to ensure appropriate collection and handling of safety data; and ensure regulatory compliance and safety throughout the clinical trials.
Medical Directors
Medical Directors will have overall responsibility for providing medical, scientific, and strategic leadership for the successful planning, execution, and reporting of clinical trials. Additionally, this role acts as the Medpace internal medical expert and will serve as a medical resource for the review, presentation, and interpretation of results in the Clinical Study Report. Medpace Medical Directors will also be involved in the development of new clinical projects, including study design, protocol, and project plans as required.
